Gold Earth Turns Two: From a Highworth Market to a Multi-Award-Winning British Beauty Brand

Two years ago, Gold Earth began with a table at my local market in Highworth, Wiltshire.
I didn't have investors, a PR team or a big company behind me. I had my products, my story, my belief in nature and the courage to stand behind something I had created from a very personal journey.
Today, as Gold Earth approaches its second anniversary, that little table has grown into a multi-award-winning independent British beauty brand, with handcrafted botanical oils for hair, face and body, customers across the UK, national recognition and a community that has supported me every step of the way.
But Gold Earth is still made with the same hands, the same care and the same belief it started with: Nurture by Nature.

Gold Earth was never created because I simply wanted to start another beauty brand. It came from my own experience with hair loss.

After being told I had alopecia, I went back to something much closer to home — the botanical oils, herbs and traditional knowledge I had grown up around. With almost 20 years of experience as a beautician and hairdresser, I began exploring how I could bring that knowledge together with my professional experience.

That journey became Gold Earth Hair Essence, and eventually Gold Earth grew beyond hair care into botanical oils for the face and body.

For me, Gold Earth has always been about more than what is inside a bottle. It is about reconnecting with nature, creating simple rituals of self-care and making products with intention.
On 26 October 2024, I took Gold Earth to my first local market in Highworth, Wiltshire.

It was just me, my products and a table. I didn't know where Gold Earth would take me. I only knew that I believed in what I had created and I wanted people to experience it for themselves.

That first market became the beginning of something much bigger.

Over the next two years, I packed the car and took Gold Earth from one event to another, meeting customers face to face and listening to their experiences. From local markets in Wiltshire and the Cotswolds to major events including Olympia London and Blenheim Palace, every conversation helped shape the business.

Gold Earth may have travelled across the country, but its roots remain here. I still handcraft, bottle and label my products myself, and I am proud that an independent British beauty brand that started at a small market in Highworth is now receiving national and international recognition.

When I started Gold Earth, winning awards wasn't what I was thinking about. I was focused on creating products I believed in and getting them into people's hands.

That makes the recognition Gold Earth has received feel even more meaningful.

In 2025, Gold Earth was recognised at the Vegan Beauty Awards, with Phoenix Radiance Facial Oil receiving national recognition.

In 2026 came another milestone: recognition from the Nourish Awards. To see Gold Earth being evaluated alongside beauty and wellbeing products from around the world was a moment I will never forget.

Gold Earth has also received recognition from Global Health & Pharma (GHP), adding another chapter to a journey that began with no investors, no PR agency and no large team behind it.

Awards are wonderful, but for me they mean something deeper. They show me how far an idea born from my own experience has travelled — from my home and a market table in Highworth to being independently recognised within the beauty and wellbeing industry.

And through all of that growth, Gold Earth remains independent and personal. I am still involved in the making, bottling, labelling, packing, website, social media, events and the everyday work behind the brand.

Gold Earth is an independent British botanical hair, face and body care brand, handcrafted in Wiltshire.

Our collection brings together carefully selected botanical oils and ingredients in simple oil-based rituals designed for everyday hair, skin and body care.

The range includes Gold Earth Hair Essence, Phoenix Radiance Day Facial Oil, Laila Aura Night Facial Oil, Golden Body Essence and Gold Earth Kings for men's face and beard care.

Every product has its own purpose, but they all share the philosophy at the heart of Gold Earth: Nurture by Nature.

I don't believe beauty needs to be complicated. Gold Earth is about slowing down, understanding what you are putting on your hair and skin, and creating a ritual you genuinely enjoy using.

Gold Earth is built differently from many beauty brands. I am not simply the founder whose name sits behind the company — I am hands-on with the products and the business every day.

From preparing and bottling the oils to labelling, packing orders, speaking directly with customers and travelling to events across the UK, I remain closely involved in every stage of Gold Earth.

The products are vegan and cruelty-free, and the Gold Earth cosmetic range has undergone the required UK Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) assessment.

For me, trust matters. I want customers to know who is behind the bottle, where Gold Earth came from and why every product exists.

There is no huge corporation behind Gold Earth. It has been built independently, brick by brick, with the support of customers who have tried the products, returned to buy again, shared their experiences and recommended Gold Earth to others.

When I look back at the last two years, sometimes I can't quite believe how far Gold Earth has come.

I am a mother of four. English is my second language. I don't have a degree in business, a team of experts sitting behind me or investors funding the journey.

I have learned as I have gone along  from building the website and doing my own social media and admin, to making, bottling and labelling products, packing orders and driving from one part of the country to another to put Gold Earth in front of people.

There have been difficult days. There have been moments when I have questioned myself. But then someone stops at my stand and tells me what Gold Earth has meant to them, a customer comes back to buy another bottle, or recognition arrives that I never imagined when I stood behind that first table in Highworth.

Those are the moments that keep me going.

Two years isn't a lifetime in business. For me, it is the foundation.

Gold Earth has been built brick by brick, bottle by bottle and customer by customer. Whatever comes next, I never want to lose the heart of where it began.

Thank you to every person who has bought a bottle, stopped at my stand, shared a post, written a review, recommended Gold Earth or simply believed in what I am building.

You are part of this story too.

Nurture by Nature.
